Am Morgen nach dem schrecklichen Unfall in Spa-Francorchamps sind auch erste Details über den Gesundheitszustand von Juan Manuel Correa bekannt geworden.
Correas Zustand nach Unfall stabil
Juan Manuel Correa befindet sich nach dem schlimmen Unfall bei der Formel 2 in einem stabilen Zustand, erleidet aber schwere Verletzungen.

F1-Fahrerkarussell: Ricciardo zurück zu Red Bull?
Der Zustand des am Samstag schwer verunglückten Formel-2-Fahrers Juan Manuel Correa (USA) ist laut Automobil-Weltverband FIA "ernst, aber stabil". Sobald sich sein Zustand weiter bessert, soll er in die USA transportiert werden. Vorerst bleibt er jedoch auf der Intensivstation.
Correa bereits operiert
Der 20-Jährige hatte bei dem Unglück, das den Franzosen Anthoine Hubert das Leben kostete, Brüche an beiden Beinen und eine leichte Verletzung an der Wirbelsäule erlitten.
Er wurde noch am Samstagabend im Krankenhaus in Lüttich operiert.
Correa war in der Auslaufzone der Eau-Rouge-Senke in der Highspeed-Passage Raidillon mit ca. 270 km/h in das quer zur Fahrbahn stehende Auto von Hubert gerast.

Huberts Wagen wurde dabei in drei Teile zerrissen, die Überlebenszelle des Fahrers auf der linken Seite komplett zerfetzt. Hubert wurde im Medical Center an der Strecke um 18.35 Uhr für tot erklärt.
