Wagner feiert gelungenes Comeback nach Verletzung

Dabei verliefen seine ersten Spiele nach der zweimonatigen Verletzungspause durchaus erfreulich. Der gebürtige Berliner, der vor der Saison von den Los Angeles Lakers zu den Wizards getradet worden war, hat sich in seiner zweiten NBA-Saison etabliert.

In 24 Saisonspielen kommt der Big Man im Schnitt auf 11,5 Punkte, 5,9 Rebounds und 1,3 Assists bei 59,1 Prozent aus dem Feld sowie 37,7 Prozent von der Dreierlinie. Für seine Leistungen wurde er erst kürzlich in das "Team World" bei der "Rising Stars Challenge" berufen.

Beal überragt bei Wizards-Sieg

Bradley Beal wurde überraschenderweise nicht für das All Star-Game an diesem Wochenende nominiert - und er zeigte im Spiel gegen die Knicks, warum dies womöglich eine Fehlentscheidung war. 

Mit 30 Punkten überragte Beal, der zweite Deutsche neben Wagner, Isaac Bonga, war mit 13 Punkten, fünf Rebounds und drei Assists drittbester Scorer der Wizards. Washington gewann somit fünf der letzten sieben Spiele und liegt nur noch drei Siege hinter Orlando im Kampf um den letzten Playoff-Platz in der Eastern Conference.
