Die NBA will nach dem virtuellen Turnier in NBA2K einen weiteren Wettbewerb aus dem Boden stampfen, um die Coronakrise für die Fans erträglicher zu machen.

Spektakulär! NBA-Star überspringt 2,26-Meter-Riese

Einem Bericht von ESPN zu Folge plant die NBA, eine H-O-R-S-E-Competition durchzuführen. Dieser Wettstreit soll in den USA auf dem Fernsehsender ESPN ausgestrahlt werden.

Demnach sollen einige hochkarätige Stars an der Competition teilnehmen, bei der es darum geht, Aktionen - beispielsweise einen spektakulären Distanzwurf - des jeweiligen Vorgängers nachzuahmen.

H-O-R-S-E-Wettbewerb bei Spielern zu Hause?

Von 2008 bis 2010 war H-O-R-S-E Teil des All-Star Weekends.

Die NBA hat vor, den Wettbewerb so durchzuführen, dass die Spieler an ihren eigenen Körben zu Hause spielen. Das gemeinsame Spiel am selben Ort von mehreren Spielern lassen die Regularien während der Corona-Pandemie aktuell nicht zu.

Weitere Details wie Spielernamen, Zeitplan und konkrete Umsetzung sind noch nicht bekannt, die Liga befindet sich jedoch schon in Gesprächen mit einigen Stars.

Seit es am 12. März die ersten positiven Corona-Tests in der NBA gab, pausiert der Spielbetrieb bis auf Weiteres. Seit Freitag läuft bereits ein Turnier in der Basketball-Animation NBA2K, bei dem sich 16 Stars der Liga im Videospiel messen.
