Den Washington Nationals haben in der Major League Baseball (MLB) im Eiltempo erstmals die World Series erreicht.

Die Mannschaft aus der US-Hauptstadt gewann in der Nacht zum Mittwoch gegen die St. Louis Cardinals mit 7:4 und setzte sich in der Best-of-Seven-Serie via Sweep mit 4:0 durch.
